ALICE stands for Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed.
These are working households that earn above the federal poverty level but still struggle to afford basic needs.
Data is updated every two to three years at the county level.

These estimates show how many people live in an area as of July 1 each year.
They are based on U.S. Census Bureau data.
Race and ethnicity are reported separately. Earlier data grouped some populations into an “other” category.

This shows the number of people living below the federal poverty level.
Estimates are created each year for states and counties.

The data comes from national labor surveys and unemployment claims.
Reports are released several months after the year ends and may be updated over time.

The data shows the number of adults reported each quarter. It includes both confirmed and unconfirmed reports.

The data shows births to women who were not married at the time of birth. Rates are based on total births. Small data counts may be hidden to protect privacy.
